This is Where It Ends

Get used to seeing this cover.

This is Where It Ends releases today, and even though it is only January 5, I can already tell you it will be one of the top books of the year. The marketing push has already been pretty big, and after reading it I know everyone will go crazy for it.

The story opens on a girl and a track, running in the cold, tripping, falling. It quickly shifts to another student, and another, each setting the scene of the day from their point of view. At first it seems innocent enough, kids going to school, planning the rest of their year. But then all hell breaks lose at the annual convocation. Told over the span of 54 harrowing minutes from four different perspectives, terror reigns as one student’s calculated revenge turns into the ultimate game of survival.

This is another book that I couldn’t put down. I think I read it in two hours Saturday night. Make sure you have time set aside to dive into the pensive, because once you are immersed, you’re not coming back out again until you’re done. It is wholly and utterly terrifying (and to be honest, might be quite triggering to some people, so be careful). But, the emotional realism written into Nijamp’s novel is captivating, and this book is going to catch like wildfire. Full credit on this one. I couldn’t find a criticism even if I wanted to.
