The Goodreads Book Tag

I saw this over on Maren’s blog, and while I don’t do too many tags I thought this one looked like fun! You should do it too! (Also, totally using her pretty image because I’m horrible with graphics, thanks Maren!)

What is the last book you marked as “READ”?

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

What are you currently reading?

Here is what I have pending right now. The main thing I’m reading is Party of One by Dave Holmes.

What was the last book you marked as “TO READ”?

The Edge of Everything by Jeff Harris, mostly because I saw a giveaway on Twitter, and I can’t resist a Goodreads Giveaway.

What book do you plan on reading next?

Next up is Chris Cleave’s Little Bee.

Do you use the star rating system?

I use Book Dragons here! Those then correlate to the stars on Goodreads.

Are you doing the 2016 Reading Challenge?

I got off to a bit of a slow start on my challenge this year, but I’ve caught up now!

Do you have a wishlist?

I do! I’m super bad about keeping it updated, but you can check it out HERE.

What book do you plan on buying next?

I don’t buy a ton of books, but I did pre-order The Cursed Child yesterday.

What is your favorite quote?

Oh my goodness, I think I have a new favorite with each book! But I do really love this poem from Hafiz:

Who are your favorite authors?

What day is it, and what am I reading? Michael Crichton, Patrick Rothfuss, Elizabeth Gilbert, Naomi Novik, Jenny Lawson….I could keep going forever.

Are you a part of any Goodreads groups?

Yep, I’m in a few that I don’t participate much in, but my two main ones are AdultBooklr and ReadWomen. Both are Tumblr groups too, so I do more on Tumblr than in the Goodreads part. I’ve never really been a fan of the GR group interface.

What could Goodreads do better?

The group forums get so bogged down. I don’t know what to do to fix it, but I just never stay very active in them because the discussions are so hard to participate in.

Also, LET ME READ A BOOK MORE THAN ONCE. Yes, I know you can switch editions, but it’s just so complicated.

Lastly, why, if I put a book on one of my created sub-shelves (like, owned-tbr), does Goodreads automatically move that book to READ. I haven’t read the book. I want it to stay on TO-READ. Stop assuming, Goodreads.

UGH. I love you and I hate you, Goodreads.
