WWW Wednesday 1/18/2017

A couple of quick housekeeping notes:  I updated my About Page to show my new mission and goals for this year. I also included my rating system.

I’m also participating in a few challenges for 2017:  Read Around the World (continuing), Beat The Backlist, and DiversityBingo2017. You should check those out and join us!

One more thing:  I did a post about Carve the Mark yesterday. I’d appreciate it if you took the time to read what I wrote, and then go check out some of the threads on twitter. There’s a lot being said and all of it is very thoughtful and important to the book community.

  1. You have me worried now about Invisible Man! I was going to pick it as my next Audible book, but now I’m not so sure… I want to read the Malcolm X biography at some point as well. I hope you will enjoy your books this week and happy reading! Here’s my WWW.

    1. Invisible Man is a tough read for sure, but don’t let that discourage you from reading it. Literature is supposed to make us uncomfortable sometimes–if not your next audiobook, maybe grab a used copy and take it one chapter at a time. But it’s a really important book and I don’t think it should be skipped.

  2. I want to try reading Toni Morrison this year. I have a book of hers but haven’t read it yet. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
